Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Whose job is compliance, mine or the tenant's?

The owner's. A tenant moving a chair against the fence can technically make the pool non-compliant, which is why periodic checks matter, but the legal obligation to hold a valid certificate sits with you.

How often do rental pools need re-certification?

QLD shared pools run on one-year certificates and non-shared on two years. Other states have their own cycles. We track your expiry and contact you before it lapses.

Can you deal directly with my property manager?

Yes. Most of our rental work is booked and reported through managing agents. We just need access arranged.

What happens if I lease without a certificate?

You are exposed to fines and, far worse, liability if a child is injured. The cost of an inspection is trivial against either.
