Established family homes with pools that have been through decades of fence repaints, deck additions and landscaping, each of which can quietly break compliance. Waterfront and beachside properties around Cronulla and Sylvania carry salt-corrosion issues on gate hardware, and the Shire's big backyards mean long barrier perimeters with more points of failure.
