  • Self-closing and self-latching gate operation from any open position
  • Latch height, shielding and gate hinge condition
  • Non-climbable zone clearances, including trees, pots and furniture
  • CPR signage placement, condition and legibility
  • Windows, doors and balconies that form part of the barrier

Outcomes

Pass or fail, you know where you stand

If your pool passes

You get the correct certificate for your state issued and lodged with the relevant register or council, so it is actually on file, not just sitting in your inbox.

If it does not pass

You get an itemised, photo-referenced report on exactly what failed, why it matters, and what standard each item needs to meet. Once fixed, we re-inspect just those items for $190, not a second full fee.

Pricing

What it costs

Inspection & certificate

$350. Full compliance assessment, digital inspection report, and the certificate issued and lodged where the pool is compliant.

Rectification and barrier repair work is quoted separately. Travel surcharges may apply for regional and rural bookings outside standard routes, confirmed at time of quote.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

How long does the inspection take?

Most residential inspections take about 45 minutes on site, and you get a verbal summary before the inspector leaves.

Do I need to be home?

No, as long as we have safe access to the pool area. Most clients prefer to be there for the verbal summary, but it is not required.

What standard is my pool checked against?

The current standard in your state: the QDC MP 3.4 framework in Queensland, the Swimming Pools Act requirements in NSW, and the barrier standards under Victoria's pool barrier reforms.

How quickly can you come out?

Enquiries before 3pm are actioned the same business day, and metro bookings are usually available within days. Tell us your deadline and we will work to it.

What does it cost?

$350 for the inspection and certificate where compliant, fixed and confirmed before we book. Re-inspections after rectification are $190.
